FAQ: There are students on my roster who have transferred out. Why are they still in my section?

Great question! Once a student is put into a section, they stay on the roster unless they are removed by a teacher or administrator. If you use an integration like Clever or ClassLink, the sync only adds students, but does not remove them.

If a student transfers out of your class, there is a simple way to remove them from a single section. Follow these guides:

  1. Remove a student from a Computer Science section
  2. Remove student from a Chat for Schools section

If you remove the student, but they appear back on your roster the next day, that is because they are still on the roster in your integration software. You will need to contact your district's integration administrator to update the roster on their end.
