Maintaining your Chromebook

Checking for updates on your Chromebook 

  1. Turn on your Chromebook.
  2. Connect your Chromebook to Wi-Fi.
  3. At the bottom right, select the time and then Settings . 
  4. At the bottom left, select About ChromeOS.
  5. Under "Google ChromeOS," find your Chromebook operating system version.
  6. To update to the latest version, select Check for updates.
    • If this option isn't available, your Chromebook may be up to date.
  7. If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.

1. Make sure that students log out after they are done using the program, especially if devices are shared.

2. Upon completion of using the program for the day, close the internet browser in use and open a new browser when using the program the following session.
