Last updated - July 24, 2024
Skill Struck's Voyage platform was created with middle and high school-aged learners in mind. The interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate, while the content is appropriate for both students who are just beginning in computer science and those who are more advanced. With several different programming languages to choose from, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python. There is something for every classroom!
Checkpoints
Checkpoints are opportunities for students to show that they understand the lesson they are working on so far. Each checkpoint gives the student a coding task to complete and requirements to meet in order to pass the checkpoint.
Quizzes
The quiz section quickly tests what students have learned in the current lesson. Students answer between 1 and 5 questions, including a debugging challenge, that reinforces what they have just learned.
Challenges
This section offers a variety of challenges for students to complete at the end of each lesson. Challenges are detailed and include a set of requirements that must be met before passing.
Games
Games are included at the end of certain lessons, and are a fun way for students to review what they have learned. Voyage includes a variety of different games--matching, Panda Stacker, and Astronaut Typing, to name a few!
Skillmoji
Students earn points for each checkpoint, quiz, challenge, and game completed. With those points, students are able to customize their Skillmoji with cool costumes, fun hairstyles and accessories, and bright colors!
