Type Station is an interactive course designed to grow and improve students' typing skills, accuracy, and speed in a way that is fun and engaging. We know that typing is an essential skill, and providing kids with an early introduction to it is important. To add Type Station to your Skill Struck platform please have your district administrator reach out to their Skill Struck Sales Rep!
**Type Station requires a device with an external keyboard.
Accessing the Keyboarding Course
For districts that have purchased the keyboarding course, students will automatically have access. For students using Launch Pad, there will be a Type Station icon in the middle of their home screen when they log in.
For students using Voyage, the Type Station icon will appear on the blue home screen once they log in to Skill Struck.
Managing the Keyboarding Course
Type Station is highly customizable and allows teachers to lock or unlock lessons, set targets for WPM and accuracy, allow for live stats to display, and more. You are able to view and toggle all of these settings by going to Manage Sections from your Educator Portal. From there, click on the small keyboard icon next to the section name to open Type Station settings for that section. Once you have decided on the options you would like for your class, click the Save button to save your changes and apply them to the section.
