Responding to student messages in the Educator Portal

In this article, you will learn how to use Skill Struck's in-platform messaging to communicate with students who need assistance via the Educator Portal.

This is currently only available on our Voyage platform. Only students who have sent you a message will appear in the Conversations box.

 

If you would like to initiate a conversation, we recommend using email or another messaging service provided by your school.

 

Another option is to have all of your students send a message, so you can reply back as needed. 

  1. From your Educator Portal, click the Help Students icon.

  2. The Conversations section on the left side of the screen will display the students who have started a conversation with you.

  3. Click a student's name to open your conversation and see what questions they have or what they need help with.

  4. Enter a response in the text box and click the Send Message button to send your message.

5. After clicking Send Message, the student will receive your response.
