How to Add Individual Students in Chat for Schools
In this article, you will learn how to add students through your Chat for Schools Educator Portal.

In the Chat Portal, students can be added individually or in bulk using the Join URL.
If your district has access to Skill Struck's computer science platforms, click here for more ways to add students.
Adding Students Individually
- Click "Students" from the Chat Portal homepage.
- Click "+ New student."
- Fill out the text boxes:
- First name
- Last name
- Username (student email)
- Password
- Reading level
- Select the section(s) you would like to add the student to. Then click "Save."
Adding Students With the Join URL
- Click "Sections" from the Chat Portal homepage.
- In an already existing section, click the "Students" button.
- Click "Enable join URL."
- If students already have a school account with Google, Microsoft, Clever, or ClassLink, they are able to log in with those credentials to create a Skill Struck account.
If your school uses Clever or ClassLink, Skill Struck will sync your students into Chat for Schools.
