FAQ: If I Set A Minimum Score For A Quiz, The Score Is Not Met, And There Is Only 1 Attempt, What Happens?

Last updated - August 20, 2026

If a student fails on their single allowed attempt, they cannot retake the quiz and will receive that attempt's score. If you set a minimum score, we recommend allowing more than one attempt.

The minimum score requirement and maximum attempt requirement can be used in tandem. However, we recommend if using both requirements, to set a reasonable number of maximum attempts to avoid lock out.
