FAQ: How do quiz retakes look in Canvas?

When a student retakes a quiz in Canvas, you will only be able to see the last submitted quiz grade in your Canvas gradebook. If an educator sets a submission attempt limit, further attempts will not be recorded in the gradebook. 

To adjust the submission limit in Canvas, you will need to navigate to the assignment's settings page and make the following edits:

1. Switch "Allowed Attempts" from "Unlimited" to "Limited." 

2. Select how many attempts you would like to provide to your students.

However, in Skill Struck, you are able to view all attempts in the Educator Portal by navigating to "Student Progress": 

1. Click on the "Lesson View".
2. Then select "Quiz".
3. Click "View attempts" on the student of your choosing.
