Chat for Schools is Skill Struck's AI chat platform that gives students access to powerful AI chat tools in a safe and controlled environment. (See teacher dashboard, below)

Chat for Schools - Student Portal

The Chat for Schools student portal gives students access to three tabs:

  1. Lessons
  2. Chats
  3. Tutors

Lessons

The Chat for Schools lessons teach students concepts that help them understand and better utilize AI chat. These lessons include a presentation and a quiz that teach content including the background of AI Chat, prompt writing, and general tips for getting the best out of Chat for Schools. CFS lessons

Teachers have access to additional professional development lessons. 

Chats

The Chats tab is where students have access to their AI Chats. Students will spend the bulk of their time on this tab.

  • To create a new chat, students will need to click the "New Chat" button at the top of the screen.CFS new chat - updated
  • Students can create folders to organize and manage their chat threads.

  • All previous chats will be found under the heading labeled "All Chats."

  • To send a chat, students will enter their text in the Chat textbox* and click the 'submit' button. *Click on the microphone icon to use the speech to text feature instead.

Chats have a built-in filter that removes personal identifiable information. When an inappropriate chat is sent, educators will be alerted.

Tutors

Chat for Schools tutors are tailor-made chat bots that focus on specific content. Custom tutors can have the voice of any person or character in history. The "Tutors" tab includes 6 built-in tutors. All assigned custom tutors will populate below the "Specialized Tutors" subheading.

CFS - tutors

Specialized tutors will only be listed if the teacher shares one with the section/class.
