In this article, you will learn about the Blocks Pro activities in Launch Pad.
Grades 3-5 curriculum in Launch Pad include an activity type called "Blocks Pro". Blocks Pro will help teach your students programming concepts using block-based coding.
Blocks Pro curriculum will need to be assigned. To learn how to assign that curriculum, please follow this article.
How to Complete a Blocks Pro Challenge
- Select a "Sprite" on the right-hand side of the screen.
- Look over the instructions to see how many of each block type the activity requires.
- Drag the required blocks onto the code editor.
- When the requirements have been met they will appear green with a check mark. After review click the "Submit" button to submit the activity.
Additional Resources
There are two resources available to help with Blocks Pro activities. The additional resources can be accessed by clicking the "Guides" button in the top right corner of the screen.
Block Guide
The Block Guide includes a picture and description of each block in Blocks. To navigate to the Block Guide, click the "Guides" button and click "Block Guide."
- Each block includes a text-to-speech feature that reads the description aloud.
- The Block Pro Guide can be printed.
Video Tutorials
There are also video tutorials that go over each concept required to complete Blocks activities. To navigate to the video tutorials, click the "Guides" button and click "Video Tutorials."
